Brain Awareness Week 2015: “Neurological diseases around us” public campaign



On 16-22 of March 2015, in the frame of “Brain Awareness Week 2015”, the “Young Biologists Association” NGO, in collaboration with the Student Scientific Society of Yerevan State University, organizes “Neurological diseases around us” public campaign.

The “Neurological diseases around us” public campaign is aimed to raise public awareness about neurodegenerative(e.g. Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease etc.)  diseases.

The proposed activities

The public campaign will consist of 3 main activities: stand-up banner exhibition, social media promotion and movie screeningevents.

Stand-up banner exhibition

The official opening ceremony will be organized on 16 of March at 11:00 am in central building of Yerevan State University (1 A. Manoogian str., 0025 Yerevan). Each banner will present one public figure or celebrity, who has been touched with neurodegenerative disease (e.g. Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease etc.) and the necessary information about disease.


On 16-22 of March, the quiz-contests on neurological disorders will be organized via Young Biologists Association’s Facebook page and the winners will receive the prizes.

Series of movie screening

During the BAW 2015, the movie screenings, discussions and presentations will be organized in YBA office (45 apt., 40 Charents  str., 0025 Yerevan). For participation, please write your name, surname, e-mail and phone number to
